Access to Care Program

Circle Creek Therapy is transitioning out of network with Apple Health and Medicaid insurance plans. The planned effective date is September 30, 2026.

What does “out of network” mean?

It means Circle Creek will no longer have a contract with Apple Health or Medicaid plans. These plans generally do not cover services from out-of-network providers, so after September 30, 2026, those plans will no longer pay for services at Circle Creek.

No — and this is important. Being out of network does not mean you or your child cannot continue care at Circle Creek. What changes is how services are paid for.

Some clients and families may continue care using private pay, alternative funding sources, FSA/HSA funds, employer benefits, payment plans, or assistance through the Access to Care Program.

After significant review and financial analysis, we determined that Medicaid reimbursement rates make it extremely difficult to maintain the level of care, staffing, and consistency our clients and families deserve while keeping Circle Creek financially sustainable.

This change is about insurance network participation — not about how much we value clients and families with Apple Health or Medicaid coverage.

No. Many clients and families with Apple Health / Medicaid have been part of Circle Creek for years, and those relationships matter deeply to us.

We are making every effort to help clients and families understand their options and continue care here if they want to and are able to.

No. The transition date is September 30, 2026. Nothing has to change before that date.

After that date, Circle Creek will no longer be in network with Apple Health / Medicaid plans. Your insurance will not cover services at Circle Creek the same way it did before.

You or your child may still be seen here using private pay, alternative funding, payment plans, or Access to Care assistance if approved.

After the transition date, Apple Health / Medicaid will not cover services at Circle Creek.

Your options may include:

• Finding an in-network therapy provider through your Apple Health / Medicaid plan

• Continuing at Circle Creek using private pay or alternative funding

• Applying for the Access to Care Program

• Asking about payment plan options

We encourage you to contact your insurance plan directly to ask about in-network providers and continuity of care options.

If Circle Creek is in network with your primary private insurance, that plan may still be billed. However, Apple Health / Medicaid will no longer be available as a secondary payer after the transition date.

This may mean additional out-of-pocket costs. Please contact your insurance plan for specifics about your benefits or your child’s benefits.

This change applies only to Apple Health / Medicaid plans. If Circle Creek is in network with your private insurance, that relationship is not automatically affected.

The Access to Care Program is a financial assistance program created for clients and families impacted by this Medicaid / Apple Health transition.

Program year: October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027

Depending on your situation and available program funding, the program may reduce your patient responsibility by 25% to 75%, with annual caps based on your award level.

This is a reduction in what you owe — not a full payment of therapy costs.

Applications are reviewed individually based on insurance impact, household income, projected patient responsibility, clinical access need, and available program funds. Assistance is not automatic. Clients and families who do not qualify are offered a payment plan and may reapply if circumstances change.

No. The program reduces what you owe — it does not guarantee full coverage.

Access to Care does not cover cancellation fees, no-show fees, or other non-therapy charges. Clients and families receiving assistance are still expected to follow Circle Creek’s attendance and cancellation policies.

You can apply by completing the Access to Care application form. A fillable PDF application is available on this page, and paper copies are also available in the clinic.

If you have questions while completing the application, please email us. We will do our best to respond within one week. Available funding is limited, so we encourage clients and families who may need assistance to apply early.

Alternative funding includes any resources outside of insurance that can help cover the cost of therapy.

Examples include:

• FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or HSA (Health Savings Account) funds

• Employer benefits or Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs)

• Community or nonprofit grants

• State or regional assistance programs

• Private scholarships or therapy funds

This insurance change does not automatically affect your therapist, your child’s therapist, or your schedule before September 30, 2026.

We can't make promises, but this is not meant to be permanent. If reimbursement rates or requirements change in the future, we will revisit what is possible.
