Visual Memory Activities
Visual Memory is the skill that helps you recall visual information that you have seen.
Visual memory is crucial for children to learn because it aids in their reading and writing skills. If you start to notice that your child is having difficulty in this area, look at the list below to find ways on how to improve their visual memory skills.
Activities to do:
Play games that require your memory, like Memory, Battleship, or Guess Who!
If working on recalling formations for letters, have them try to draw it with their eyes closed to remember the shape of the letter.
Use bendable things such as pipe cleaners to form letters and shapes (because feeling a shape can help them visualize [see] the shape). The letters can then be glued onto index cards, and later the child can touch them to “feel” the shape of the letter.
