Visual Spatial Relations Activities
One of the many different areas that our Occupational Therapists touch on is the skill called visual-spatial relations. Children who have difficulty with visual-spatial relations usually have trouble with the ability to determine that one form, or part of a form, is turned in a different direction than others.
Below are some fun activities that you can do with your children, family, or friends that will improve their visual-spatial relations skills! Check them out, and tell us what you think!
Activities to do:

Navigate through an obstacle course. You can make one at home, or you can go to a playground and pretend that the slides or stairs are a part of your obstacle course!
Copy 3-D block designs.
Place plastic letters into a bag, and have the child identify the letter by “feel.”
Identify numbers or letters that have been made incorrectly in several places, and the child has to identify each place the letter has an error - try this on a chalkboard or a dry erase board!
