What should my baby still be able to do? Month 9

What to expect from your 9 month old:

Please note, this is not a comprehensive list.

  • He or she should begin crawling

  • They will pull themselves up to a standing position from sitting

  • Your baby can climb up onto a chair, but they do not know how to turn and sit down

  • They will comprehend “no, no”

  • Your child can transition in and out of sitting

Ideas on how to play with your 9 month old baby:

  • You can chase your baby if he/she is crawling

  • You should allow your baby to climb over/onto different objects

  • They can play with a ball in sitting and standing positions - with supported as needed

  • Your child can stack blocks together
